"The purpose of the Charlotte Harbor National Estuary Program (CHNEP) is to implement a partnership plan to protect the natural environment from Venice to Bonita Springs to Winter Haven. The program receives financial support from many sources to accomplish this purpose.
One method of engaging people in this pursuit has been to develop calendars that depict the beauty of the natural environment. People are asked to donate images that depict this beauty. Through an online survey, the public is asked for their input on the images they'd like included in each calendar.
Each year since 2005, the CHNEP has been pleased to provide calendars to those who subscribe to Harbor Happenings, the program's free quarterly newsletter. In addition, several of our partners have requested and received a small supply of calendars for distribution to their staff, volunteers, patrons/visitors and others."
