Amazon is running its Haul Car Sweepstakes right now, and the prize isn't a gift card or a gadget — it's an entire vehicle, or $50,000 cash if you'd rather take the money instead. Best part: there's a genuinely free way to enter every single day, no purchase required.

The Grand Prize is a new vehicle from Amazon Auto — though the winner can choose $50,000 cash instead if they'd rather have that. If they go with the vehicle and live within 75 miles of a participating Amazon Auto dealer, they'll pick from that dealer's available lot (up to $50,000 MSRP). In areas where vehicle delivery isn't available, the cash prize is awarded automatically.
Log into your Amazon account and visit the sweepstakes entry page, then click "Enter for Free." That's it — one free entry (called a Qualification) per day.
Once you've racked up five Qualifications, every additional one you earn after that counts as a Bonus Entry — up to a maximum of 31 total entries for the whole promotion.
Legal residents of the 50 U.S. states or D.C., excluding Alaska and South Dakota. You must be 18+ (19 in Alabama and Nebraska, 21 in Mississippi), and you'll need an active Amazon account.
The sweepstakes runs August 28 through October 1, 2026. The winner will be selected within a week of the close, then notified by email within about three weeks after that.
Since the prize is worth more than $2,000, the winner will need to provide a Social Security number or tax ID for IRS reporting, and will receive a 1099 for the prize's value. The potential winner also has just 72 hours to respond to the notification email, so it's worth checking your Amazon-linked inbox regularly if you're expecting to hear back.
